I was so close, ever so close with my prediction. I went for four one and perhaps I must say that I was guilty of showing too much optimism there. As usual we have been let down again. We have no fight, no spirit and no guts, let alone a will to win. The league table never lies and I suspect that we shall find ourselves bottom soon. Norwich look like they are going to pull a run of games together and we are not.
I am well aware that we have a game in hand, but that will make little difference to our pathetic plight. We are going down without a fight.
And please don’t blame Var. Everyone knows it is a poor system, but it is not the reason we lost the game. We were already trailing by a goal and there was no way we were going to score. We simply couldn’t live with the higher level of football that Leicester were playing. They would have scored more regardless of the penalty decision.
So now it’s over to the club. At present we are down and here is a spoiler for you. Chelsea will beat us with their game in hand and it will be comfortable.
The club must act. Dean Smith has had his opportunity and it is time for a change. Can anyone come in and rescue us? Will anyone even get the chance?
